Don’t start building a garden pond until you’ve read this.

I’ve built lots of ponds; some with waterfalls, some with little streams running between them and one which was like a small lake. So I think I’m something of an expert. I’ve even learned the secrets of training my fish.

Like every job in the garden there are ‘Tricks of the Trade’.

• The overall plan.
• The order in which things need to be done.
• What it will look like when it is done.
• Very importantly what materials to use.
• How to make the pond Algae free.
